Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Analyst, Investment Solutions, Structured Products to join our team. This role is critical in supporting the investment activities of the structured note strategies team. The Analyst tasks span across operational, analytical, client service and administrative tasks. The individual will report directly to the Principal, Investment Solutions, Structured Products and receive training and education from the Principal portfolio manager and other members of the NewEdge Wealth team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsiblities:
- Custodian & Account Operations:
- Support new account opening processes and verify completion of account requirements across multiple custodial platforms.
- Serve as a point of contact for ad-hoc questions from advisors regarding account opening and operational items.
- Ensure data feed visibility into all accounts across various custodians.
- Manage custodian and reporting platform databases to ensure all accounts are accounted for.
- Account Monitoring and Trade Support:
- Execute on the cash management strategy of the portfolio management team
- Monitor accounts for cash movements (in or out) that were not properly communicated to the portfolio management team.
- Create trade allocations and coordinate with the trading team to ensure allocations are properly executed.
- Post-execution, verify accuracy of trade booking and allocations.
- When strategy positions are called or mature, verify correct payment values across accounts.
- Account Reporting & Advisor Communications:
- Communicate account updates and details of executed trades to advisor teams.
- Assist in preparing and distributing strategy reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc basis.
- Coordinate with advisor teams to address money-movement items.
- Distribute completed strategy and marketing materials to key stakeholders.
- Principal Support:
- Provide occasional scheduling support for Principal.
- Manage travel booking and expense filings for Principal.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Securities examinations SIE, Series 7 and 66 licenses or expectation of completion within 6 months of employment.
- Experience in an investment operations or analytical role within an asset management firm, wealth manager, broker-dealer, or custodian preferred.
- Understanding of financial markets, investment products (experience with structured notes is a plus), and trade lifecycle preferred.
- Experience with custodian platforms (e.g. Fidelity, Schwab, Pershing) and portfolio management/reporting systems (e.g., Orion) preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
