We provide elite independent practices with flexible investment solutions, cutting-edge technology, back-office support, practice management, and a collaborative advisor community.
The Advisor Advocate acts as a strategic partner, trusted advisor, and internal champion for a territory of affiliated independent financial advisor teams. More than a relationship manager, this role is about proactively elevating the advisor experience—guiding business strategy, fostering community, and enabling access to the full value of the NewEdge platform.
Location: New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and San Diego area candidates preferred, but remote candidates will be considered as well.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Advisor-Centric Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a defined territory of advisor teams, cultivating strong, trust-based relationships.
- Conduct regular in-person and virtual check-ins, including annual partnership reviews and strategic planning sessions.
- Help advisors acclimate to NewEdge post-transition and ensure continued engagement with available resources.
- Identify and recommend tools, programs, and initiatives that support advisor growth, efficiency, and client service.
- Strategic Enablement & Business Coaching
- Collaborate with advisor leadership teams to co-develop business plans and practice management strategies.
- Offer coaching on topics like growth planning, client segmentation, operational workflows, team structure, and technology utilization.
- Promote continuous learning, innovation, and leadership development across the advisor base.
- Trusted Advocacy
- Serve as the voice of the advisor internally—escalating issues, surfacing feedback, and influencing improvements across the firm.
- Coordinate cross-functional resources (custodial, compliance, operations, tech, etc.) to resolve complex advisor needs.
- Proactively identify patterns and opportunities for platform-wide enhancements.
- Community Building & Engagement
- Foster a culture of connection and idea-sharing through territory-based events, webinars, and peer forums.
- Support broader firm-wide initiatives that promote collaboration, culture, and advisor-to-advisor learning.
- Encourage advisor participation in NewEdge conferences and community experiences.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years of experience in the RIA, hybrid-RIA, or broader wealth management industry.
- Familiarity with the needs of independent advisors and multi-custodial platforms.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic conversations and influence outcomes.
- Preferred:
- Previous experience in a territory management, relationship management, or advisor consulting role.
- Knowledge of tuck-in, aggregator, or platform RIA models.
- Comfort with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and project management platforms.
- Ability to travel regularly for in-person advisor visits and events.
