In his role as Principal at NewEdge Wealth, Alex serves as the primary advisor for ultra high net worth families, business owners, entrepreneurs, and family offices. He sits on the same side of the table as his clients — working alongside clients to bridge the gap between their goals and all the sophisticated resources Wall Street has to offer. Alex advises on major financial and strategic decisions, including estate planning, recapitalizations, and tailored lending strategies. He creates solutions that enhance liquidity, support tax-efficient growth, and provide flexibility across clients’ businesses and assets, from operating companies and real estate to aviation and other specialized holdings.
Alex began his career at GenSpring Family Offices during the Great Financial Crisis — then the nation’s largest registered investment advisor, at a time when the independent RIA model was still in its early years. He later joined J.P. Morgan Private Bank and Merrill Private Wealth Management, where he served as a Managing Director for over a decade.
Alex earned a B.A. in Economics (Finance emphasis) from Emory University and an M.B.A. in Finance from Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business, and holds Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
He lives in the Morningside/Virginia Highlands area of Atlanta with his wife, daughter, and two sons. Outside the office, Alex can be found hiking, traveling with his family, and coaching his kids in soccer and other youth sports.
