Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager, reporting to the Director Project Management Office (PMO), will lead a team of Quality Assurance Analysts and Engineers, oversee all QA Activities and implement QA standards and methodologies. The QA Manager will ensure that new and existing systems, features and applications meet quality and performance expectations, and will also develop standards and best practices for automated testing, performance testing, regression testing, including by improving the efficiency of testing processes. This role will support multiple business units in a fast-growing wealth management firm, with a core focus on Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) and integrated platforms. The QA Manager will also maintain and report on QA metrics for an assigned business vertical. In this hyper-growth phase, the QA will play a key role in developing scalable, adaptable QA practices to ensure consistent delivery quality across evolving environments.
Location: Candidates should be located in Pittsburgh, PA with the ability to occasionally report to the office.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of QA specialists working in a multi-disciplinary environment (Waterfall, Agile), leveraging disparate technologies within disparate environments (managed hosted, cloud, vendor services).
- Oversee all QA activities and processes to ensure that quality expectations have been met and conform to project and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other QA Managers to create, document and implement corporate QA standards, methodologies and processes to establish the Quality Assurance Center of Excellence.
- Maintain QA metrics, report QA metrics to senior management and use QA metrics to continuously improve product quality, testing efficiency and QA processes.
- Design test strategies, test plans, and set test objectives.
- Review test plans and test results for accuracy and completeness and provide any related recommendations.
- Create training and development plans to grow the team in both technical and soft skills.
- Develop best practices for automated testing, performance testing and regression testing, and write test scripts.
- Make implementation recommendations based on test results.
- Solve problems pertaining to testing and test staging.
- Monitor and track product defects, analyze defect reports and make recommendations to reduce product defects.
- Create and execute test plans on assigned projects.
- Coach and mentor QA staff and conduct performance reviews.
- Resource management and workload distribution.
- Supports and maintains vendor relationships on QA owned product/services
- Manage a team of QA staff members both onshore and offshore and flexing your schedule to collaborate with all direct reports across multiple time zones
- Supports and maintains budgets
- Ensure QA processes and test coverage address the unique requirements of Salesforce FSC and integrated financial tools supporting advisor and client workflows.
- Partner with Project Managers, Product Managers, Salesforce Admins, Developers, and Business Analysts to align QA efforts with business and technical priorities across pods.
- Continuously evolve QA strategies and workflows to support the scalability needs of a hyper-growth wealth management business.
- Promote a team culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning in a scaling organization.
Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience as a QA Manager.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Management, or related field. Experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- ISTQB, CMSQ, QAI Certification preferred.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently while preserving accuracy and attention to detail
- Energetic self-starter, with the ability to work independently
- Knowledge of Agile and experience working in an Agile environment preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with Soap and Rest API preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with Postman, Playwright, , Jira, Zephyr Scale, MS Co-Pilot preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with Page Object Model Automation framework
- Experience with testing UI (React and ASP.NET), as well as Web, Cloud-based services and applications, is preferred
- Experience with both formal SDLC environment, as well as an Agile environment .
- Application/technology in several areas including Web Technology, Python, SQL, batch processing, ServiceNow
- Experience with Agent AI module learning a plus
- Experience with Salesforce-specific QA practices or tools (e.g., Provar, Copado) a plus
- Ability to lead QA in multi-platform environments including FSC, third-party APIs, and advisor-facing portals.
