Job Summary:

NewEdge Advisors is looking for an entrepreneurial-minded Regional Director of Business Development with a positive attitude who enjoys networking, sourcing, and recruiting qualified advisors while meeting the needs of our current advisor base. As a rapidly growing company, the ideal candidate is comfortable and excels in an atmosphere of constant growth, change, and ideation.

The Regional Director of Business Development should be a skilled multi-tasker with excellent time management, networking, and communication skills. We are looking for someone to take ownership of their role within the company and someone who takes pride in their work. This person will report directly to the Director of Business Development.

Location: The ideal candidate would be located in the Rocky Mountain region (Denver and surrounding areas)

 

Responsibilities:

Recruit qualified representatives within assigned territory to join NewEdge Advisors by developing leads obtained through multiple sources and contacting prospective representatives to determine suitability of current business with NewEdge Advisors strategies, goals, and compliance procedures.
Assume ownership of Salesforce leads within assigned territory. Conduct cold calls to prospects and utilize consultative sales skills to recruit business and qualify prospects.
Create and submit offer letter to recruits with approval of Director of Business Development.
Review and provide Independent Contractor Agreement to recruits with approval of Director of Business Development.
Network with custody business development officers and develop an understanding of each custodians value proposition.
Leverage the NEA third party recruiter relationships to move opportunities thru the sales funnel
Prepare and deliver formal business presentations to qualified prospective representatives highlighting NewEdge Advisors products, technology, and service.  Answer questions and utilize sales techniques to recruit business.
Coordinate and host networking receptions for prospective representatives.
Provide prospective representatives with continued, on-going contact through personal phone calls, visits, and written communications.
Determine appropriate strategies and sales plan to ensure attainment of goals. Coordinate and submit business plan with Director of Business Development 
Participate in new business development ventures and strategic recruiting efforts as needed.
Represent NewEdge Advisors at various trade shows, conferences, and seminars.
Host Home office visits (HOV) which may include but is not limited to, providing profile of opportunities to all presenters, submit travel logistics document to HOV coordinator, attending the meeting, and timely follow up.
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and developments
Follow internal NewEdge Advisor policies and submit all expenses in a timely manner. 
Attend all business development team calls
Meet NewEdge Advisors in territory to network and initiate new recruit opportunities 
Meet and exceed minimum KPI monthly goals
Become familiar with the benefits of affiliation with NewEdge Wealth.

 

Skills & Qualifications: 

Experience within the financial services industry, whether working at a broker-dealer, custodian, an RIA or product vendor
Experience and knowledge of the independent broker dealer market RIA custodians and wirehouse model
A minimum of five years sales experience in financial services
Ability to manage a complex sales process
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Flexibility to work additional hours as required 
Series 7 required
FBI background check required
50% of time spent traveling in assigned territory
Experience with Salesforce,  other CRM is a plus
