Karen Glassman

Managing Director

Karen Glassman partners with globally affluent, multi-generational families on wealth preservation, succession, and next-generation planning and education. A trusted advisor to C-suite executives and their families around the world, she is known for helping clients navigate complex financial decisions across generations and borders.

Karen is especially valued for her work with women navigating major financial transitions, helping them step confidently into the stewardship of their own wealth and build lasting financial independence.

She began her career at Bear Stearns, where she became the first and only female arbitrage trader in the firm’s history, training personally under Alan “Ace” Greenberg — an early foundation that shaped her lifelong focus on the complexities of multi-generational wealth for high-net-worth families.

Prior to joining NewEdge Wealth, Karen served as President and CEO of two wealth management firms, most recently as Managing Director of Unio Capital, where she led global marketing, branding, and asset growth strategy.

She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music from Ithaca College and maintains multiple industry licenses, including General Securities Principal, Licensed Equity Trader, and Investment Banking and Investment Advisor Representative.

Karen is active with the Rockefeller University Council, the Financial Women’s Association, and the Ithaca College Investment Advisory Board. She has mentored young women throughout her career, with particular focus on underprivileged students in New York City — work recognized by the New York City Mentoring Program. Karen is a trained pianist, an avid golfer, and speaks multiple languages, including French and Greek.
