Patrick is a seasoned wealth management leader and Managing Director with NewEdge Wealth, where he advises affluent families and institutional clients nationwide on comprehensive financial strategies, including asset allocation, portfolio construction, cash flow planning and long-term wealth strategy.

With over two decades of experience in the financial services industry, Patrick has built a distinguished career focused on delivering tailored solutions that address complex financial needs. Before joining NewEdge Wealth as part of its strategic Southeast expansion in 2025, he spent more than 20 years at Morgan Stanley and its predecessor, Smith Barney, where he co-founded and led The McGlothin Group — an advisory practice that grew into a nationally recognized wealth management team overseeing approximately $1.5 billion in client assets.

Patrick’s expertise spans a broad range of disciplines, including alternative investments, risk-based portfolio design and holistic financial planning — skills that have earned him industry recognition. A recent honor was being named to Forbes’ Best-In-State Wealth Advisors list, ranking among the top advisors in the country.

He holds a B.S. in Business from the Calloway School of Business and Accountancy at Wake Forest University and maintains multiple industry licenses, including his Series 7, 31, 63 and 65 registrations.

A proud Tennessee native, Patrick is deeply engaged in his local community. He serves on the boards of and supports a range of nonprofit and cultural organizations, including Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, Senior Citizens Home Assistance Service, Joni and Friends Tennessee, Knoxville Fellows Program, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley and is an active member at his church, Resurrection Presbyterian.

Outside of his professional and philanthropic pursuits, Patrick enjoys annual international travel with his father, high-stakes road trips with friends to cheer on the Vols and spoiling his precious niece and nephew.
